![]() ![]() ![]() Running RowPro in Vista PCs
RowPro uses the OpenGL graphics system for its 3D graphics, not the Microsoft DirectX graphics system. To run RowPro in Windows Vista, your PC display driver needs to be designed for Vista, and needs to support OpenGL graphics under Vista, otherwise RowPro will not be able to use Hardware Acceleration, and the RowPro 3D graphics will run extremely slowly (around 1 fps) and may even appear to be frozen. If RowPro runs at a very low frame rate in Vista, please check the following points: If your PC shipped new with VistaYour graphics driver will almost certainly work with DirectX in Vista but may not run at an acceptable frame rate with OpenGL. Check your PC manufacturer's website for an updated graphics driver. If none is available, you can use the SciTech GLDirect 5.0 utility (see link and instructions below) to enable RowPro to use DirectX instead of OpenGL in your PC, after which RowPro will almost certainly run at an acceptable frame rate. If your PC shipped new with XP and was "Vista ready"Check your PC manufacturer's website for a Vista graphics driver. If none is available and RowPro does not run at an acceptable frame rate, you can try the SciTech GLDirect 5.0 utility (see link and instructions below) to enable RowPro to use DirectX instead of OpenGL in your PC, after which RowPro may run at an acceptable frame rate. If RowPro still runs slowly, you will need to wait until your PC manufacturer issues Vista graphics drivers for your PC, or use another PC for RowPro. If your PC shipped new with XP and was not "Vista ready"Check your PC manufacturer's website for a Vista graphics driver. If none is available and RowPro does not run at an acceptable frame rate, you will probably need to use another PC for RowPro. If a Vista graphics driver is available for your PC but RowPro still runs slowly, you can try the SciTech GLDirect 5.0 utility (see link and instructions below) to enable RowPro to use DirectX instead of OpenGL in your PC, after which RowPro may run at an acceptable frame rate. If RowPro still runs slowly, you will probably need to use another PC for RowPro. How to download, install and configure the SciTech GLDirect 5.0 utility
